new to muscle
Hey everyone I recently got out of a 2004 Volkswagen gti ND I'm thinking of getting into a 1997 Camaro v6.. Is there anything I should know or understand about the car? Can alot of power be brought out of them? ND are they expensive to mod? Any bad common mechanical errors? Ect .. Please respond ND thanx for reading

Welcome to the forum.
1.V6 have had issues with the intake gaskets leaking and a plastic L shaped coolant hose under the throttle body that gets brittle and cracks. Check it out for oil leaks and check oil pressure at warm idle compared to cold start. Take a look in the radiator to see if it is topped off and no oil and rusty looking stuff in there.
2. See alot of people with "security" issues with the VATS system. Can be as simple as a switch or as complicated as the componets in the security system.
If you can, get a code scanner on it to see if it has any codes stored.
I haven't done any mods, so maybe someone else can answer that.
