Default New Hood

I plan on ordering a new hood this week. Does anyone know of a website that you can order a hood from anyone that paints it to your factory color? Im rethinking the CF hood, just wont match. ive looked around everywhere and cant find where to get a silver 93-97 hood

Go to vfn fiberglass. I would have someone local paint the hood for you so you can ensure that your colors match.

I second vfn, they did the hood for my car and then got it painted, came out pretty nice plus you can get some decent weight savings

Just looked at the site. What is the difference between a pin on hood and a bolt on (Not trying to seem dumb I know what bolt on means. Just mainly dont know what pin on means)

pin on means there are no provisions for using your stock hood latches. You would have to drill holes in the hood and either use hood pins or dzus fasteners. Thats going to be up to you, but a bolt on hood is considerably easier as you just unbolt your current hood and bolt on this one using the latches and use your current hood catch from your old hood.

Not as easy as you make it sound. There is a lot more than unbolting and slapping it on. It took me a few hours to adjust the hood to make it centered and latch at the correct hight.

yeah $800 is kinda steep for just a hood.

I found this site lastnight while searching for HID conversion kits.. they got decent prices Chevrolet Camaro Carbon Fiber Hoods Free Shipping!

this one here is the super sport hood. Definately cheaper then 600!!
Super Sport Hood 93-97

with the Super Sport Hood + tax/shipping it comes to 495 (according to the checkout cart) cheaper then 600 thats for sure.

Unit Price 319.20
175.99 tax & Free shipping
495.19 total.

I didn't go to in-depth with it just to the checkout page.

then after you get it (if they don't color match it for you, take it to your local shop have them do it and your only paying 600 total total savings of $200!!

you want to be REALLY careful who you buy a hood from, the real problem is fitment. A lot of no name places have hoods that "appear" to be cheaper but after you calculate in the time and body work need to make them fit properly, you'll be ahead of the ball game buying from a company that knows what they're doing.
