hey im new here and to the chevy familly. i resently got a 98 camaro from a coworker and its got some probles. first of all it strugles to start and have to give it some gas, onces its on and put it on drive and gas it, it like chokes and whants to turn off. i scanned for codes and come up with a few sensor codes i changed the tps amd map sensors but nothing . anyone has had this problem or can give me advice on what else to check for.

 

What engine? How many miles? Have you done any basic checks yet? Is the air filter clean? Tune up? Without some specifics of your vehicle it's kinda hard to offer advice.

 

There is a list of things that comes to mind. What codes did you have and what codes do you still have? Could be as simple as a bad coil or as a jumped timing chain and about 50 things in between based on your current description.

 

yeah its a v6 3800 miles dont remember but will find out he said he dif a tune up oil change wires and coils. I changed tps and map sensors ill run codes again and will get back with answers. Hopefully that wil give more of an idea of my problem

 

Is it getting gas?

 

I can hear the pump turn on and it gets gas cuz onces turnd on it stays on untill i give it gas to move it
