Default new fuel pump new problem?

few of you know my car is either becoming a lemon or its just that time to do a complete tune up, anyways installed new fuel pump a week ago and ever since than i have to turn it over a good 5 times before it starts anyone have a clue why a new fuel pump would act like this i mean it turns on when the key is on position
also i lose power at 3k and above like its not getting enough fuel

test the fuel pressure. number 32 on the list 4th Gen LT1 F-Body Tech Aids

check fuel pressure for sure first. I would say you have a fuel leak inside the tank. Replace it again my favorite, not.. .

Some times you can actually hear it leaking inside the tank. have someone turn the key on to activate the fuel pump and listen by the tank and see if you can hear it dripping. maybe even remove the gas cap and listen. IDK worth a try I guess. I've heard it before. but I've also had a leak inside the tank that I couldn't hear...

Possibly clogged fuel filter.

How many miles on the car? As others said, did you change the fuel filter as well, fuel pressure tested? NOID test fuel injectors?

O2 Sensors tested good? MAF wire clean? These also affect fuel application.
