Default new to forum

hey guys im new to the forum and have a question i know that its probably been answered but i cant seem to find it. okay so i have a 93 v6 camaro with a auto 4l60 trans and i want to do a lt1 swap will my trans fit the v8 or will i have to get a new one and what all is needed to complete the swap sucesfully will i need special headers and also would i have to get motor mounts out of a v8 camaro and how hard of a swap would it be

Welcome! it something that is fairly common now days.You will need exaust manifolds for the lt1, and the engine cross memeber, the 4l60 will work just fine, they used the same automatic trans for both the v6s and v8s.Nothing really is transferable with the v6, i believe there is a sticky in the 4th gen section if you check there.

A the tranny will not fit. The bolt pattern is wrong. Unless you are an expert (and you would not be asking if you where) the convertion will cost more money then it worth.

The only way to do it at a reasonable cost is to find a donor car with the complete drive train. I would expect the swap would cost you another 700-1000 of that just fixing stuff on the doner. Not to mention a couple of hundread hours of work.
