I'm looking for a Camaro for my son. ( well thats what he is looking at )he is 15.
I'm new to the Camaro scene. What do i look for or what signs do i need to be aware of . Looking at the 93-02 years. price range 3500-5000. any help would be great.. thanks in advance

 

you will want the 3.8, depending on the body style you like i would say 96-97 or 99-02.

 

THANKS, just looked at a '96 for 4200 w/ 88k miles. but i have no idea what questions to ask. i know the generic questions, but not the specific ones related to these types of cars.

 

just like any 15yr old car, ask for records, history, have it checked by your fav machanic.

 

Where are you located? The price seems a little high unless that includes some type of warranty. T-Tops? Automatic or stick? Like craby said A trusted mechanic can tell if the car was maintained or if it was just cleaned up by the lot.

I got my first Camaro when I was 15, 1980 was a long time ago.

 

gorn: cen cal, 3.8, auto, this one had t-tops . and yes i do have a trusted mechanic.. prices seem high out here on everything. i have time to shop, some time between now and 6 mo. when looking i just want to make sure i know what to look for. you know the little things that only camaro guys know.. thank you
