In need of someone who knows about 02 front ends

thats not really going to make much of a difference in the cooling system. do you have an air dam? dont remember if you do from the other thread. looks like the front cover has been cut to fit the grill, look to see if those cuts will weaken it and if the foam is helping to sturdy it. only thing i can think of as to why its there.

Yes I do have an air dam and it's in tact.. So I'm stumped on what else it could be I've checked the radIator, hoses, coolent, thermostat, everything I could think of

well it looks like theres a zig zag pattern with a piece still hangin so some cutting was done, i cant tell what or how much. looks like its just the edges in the picture.

Are u speaking of the right hand almost corner? I looked at the back side of the bumper and the foam is all over it like one solid piece

There's suppose to be foam there. It's to help absorb impact. My car has it, but it's black from factory.

As a wiring pass-through for different options, maybe, possibly.

As long as your cars temp was staying within safe limits, I don't see why you'd really have to worry about it. I'd try to paint in black though, so it kinda blends in better.

dang it i keep forgetting this is a 02, been lookin at the front of the ls camaros and them are holes, must be for air flow for the radiator and air intake.
