Need some help!!!
i have a 1996 camaro as a daily driver. i jsut bought it not to logn ago, because i didnt want to pack more miles on my 91. i just replaced the alternator and battery on it and all seems well with the power source. however i have been having problems with the radio and windows. the windows and radio will shut off randomly, whether im sitting still or driving. they both stop working at the same time and will come back on randomly at the same time. ive tried a few things to get them staying on and nothing seems to work. anyone have any ideas as far as solving the problem goes. its nothign seriouc to make the car not drivable. its just aggerivating when im listening to some of my favorite tunes on my radio and they stop midway through.
What kind of music do you listen to, maybe your stereo is picky about your choice of tunes?
OK, a little more info would help. Did this happen before you changed the battery and alternator? Sounds like you may have a loose supply or ground wire, or corrosion at a connection. A bad fuse wouldn't be intermittent, it would be either on or off. Make sure your connections and wires at the battery are all good and clean, and check the connections at the junction block where the + cable from the battery leads.

lol i listen to everything... not a picky person, but i did check over just about all the connection encluding the ones to the head unit... still no luck. im starting to lean toward a relay switch... anyone no wheere there located in fourth gens?
May want to check the RAP (retained accessory power) module under the dash, and the door switches. The radio and windows receive power from the rap module. When a door switch detects an open door, it tell the RAP to power down the accessories.
