Smile Need some help. 1995 Z28 won't start

Hello all,

I have owned my 1995 Z28 for about 4 years now and now it will not start. I was on leave for a month but hadn't started it for about 3-4 months do to no a/c and over 100+degrees. When I got in and had the battery jumped it started right up then died a few seconds later and then nothing after that.

It will crank all day long but the fuel pump is not getting any power. I tried the fuel pump prime jumper and I have replaced the fuel pump relay. I can hear the relay clicking when I apply power to the car but no fuel pump. I also have no power to the crank fuse and dimmer fuse. Also when I was trying to start it my fuel guage pegged out over the full mark and looks like it is stuck now since it wont come down.

So my question is this, what could be causeing this? I tried to use a GM Code Reader from Innova but couldnt get it to work. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chris

did you charge the battery or get a new one? how do you know the fuel pump is not getting power did you check back by the rear differential or are you thinking that because its not coming on its not getting power. where is the crank fuse and whats it for? where is the dimmer fuse?

I charged the battery, checked the fuel pump at the rear differential and even ran a hot wire from battery to the connection at the rear differential to try and give the fuel pump power. the fuses are on the driver side dash panel in the main fuse block # 16 for crank and # 13 for dimmer.

^^ thats from a 93 book so some of yours may be different. try here also if you want to look at some other wiring. im thinking you have a bad fuel pump or a bad connection to it. the 16 is for diognostic on mine.
