i have a 97 RS in decent shape w/ 73xxx. everything works perfect, engine is really strong.i found a 97 z28 w/ 62xxx owner asking $7500. what do you think the chances are of it being in the same condition? Although mine is mechanically perfect now when i first bought itat 69xxx i had to put over $1500 in it (full tune up, tires, ignition coil, tranny & radiator BG flush, and basicallylights all around)i dont know if its worth the chance or not cause i dont really want to put a lot of money in the Z. thanks

 

I would say check out the Z and make sure it's in good condition. 62k is good for a 97 and the price isn't bad either. You'll love the power you get with a V8 rather than the V6 your driving now. The power is REAL addictive. I say check out the car make sure there is no damage to the frame and no oil leaks and the car doesn't smoke and if you don't find any of that then go for it!! I did and I don't regret it at all.

agree v-8 + more fun then v-6. As for the condition..you'll have to check it out. It may need a little tune up and regular maintenance which isn't bad, unless of course it will need major worki.e. head gasket or clutch.
