Default Need Help now

ok so i just bought new wheels 20 inch 20x7.5 and tire rack is saying its a good fit with 225-35-20 tires can i put on these and have room left with the fender wall ? can i use 225/ 30-20 tires instead if necessary ? Help please just spent a lot of money on these wheels and i dont wanna roll the fenders. firestone told me 20's will fot on the car but that the largest i can go. i really wouldent want to go any larger. im just worried i made a mistake buying these wheels size wise i love the way they look. thanks guy. with a 7.5 in rim width u are not going to be able to run a very wide tire. looks like the 35s are the ones that will fit the rim. the car is a different story. dont know what it is. lol.

if your car is not lowered you should be able to run 225/35 R20 tires no problem, the diffrence between 225/35 and 225/30 is only like a 1/4" anyway in total height so there is no difference. As long as the offsets for the wheels are correct then they will go straight on. You can also put 235/35 or 235/30 on a 7.5 inch wide rim. Tire rack say 245 is like the max you would go on a 7.5 inch rim but i wouldnt push it that far. get some 225 or 235 wide tires

They will not scrub provided the wheel offset is correct and centered in the middle of the wheel arch, you have already bought the wheels so they will have been supplied correct. If you really want to check jack up the rear and put a rim on and follow the outside and inner edges up to the fender and inner wheel well, there should be plenty of clearence.

that should be fine but it will be close in the front. im sure there are some bumps and manuevers that would make them rub fairly easily.

good stuff, yep that sounds right, I got 18" rims on an a 8
.5 or 9 inch width with a 20mm offset, they stick right out look good but i had to grind my arch and it still scrapes over massive bumps, usually ok though. your 20" should look nice, remember pics when there on !!!

Make sure your jounce stops are still in good shape, I think someone has some shims for them...
