Need help with lighting!
New member to this forum and a little surprised I didnt get even one response on this problem. PLEASE...if you read this and have no idea give me a quick reply. Would really appreciate it. I am stumped and dont want to pay Mr. Goodwrench for their help. Reprinted below for your quick review.
Thanks,
I lost my interior lighting (back seat courtesy lights) and the trunk light. Checked the bulbs, they all work. Next checked voltage. 12.4 v ok BUT I now have positive voltage on BOTH leads to the lights. Checking my Haynes manual for the schematic and any possible ideas, I found a device called the BCM (Body Control Module) that I think could be it.
Am I on to something? Any ideas out there??? I haven't seen anything quite like it before.
Thanks,
Mike

Check the voltage with the bulb out to make sure the bulb isn't crossing anything up. And you should have power going to one lead of the dome light socket. The door jamb switches creates the ground, which completes the circuit. If power checks out at the socket, your jamb switches would be the next to check.
