i have to prime mines a with a few half turns of the key before starting. I hear the pump wine (assuming its the pump) before it turns over. What would that indicate? At one point the fuel line connecting to the fuel filter had to be cut and replaced with pressurized rubber line because the moron before me had sealed the filter to the line with liquid wrench.

Just did my 2000 camaro trap door fuel pump replacement. A shop was going to charge $429 just to do the job, but my good friend came over and we did it together. The new pump works perfect and now it starts right up.
