someone is selling me a 96 camaro z28 for $3,000. leather interior,t-tops,no torn seats or broken dashboard. engine is stock, transmission has a shift kit, stock rims, and has around 86,000 miles very well taken care of, paint is still good.

Take to a trusted mechainc and get it checked out. Blown headgaskets are pretty easy to miss and cost $1200 to repair. But in my area $4200 would still be a decent price.
These cars don't really have shift kits. The computer controls the shifts. You can make the shifts a little harder by installing a hvy accumalator spring but that is about it.
