http://pixady.com/image/9hz/hey y'all, I bought a second hand 2001 V6 off of Craigslist not too long ago. I noticed the car stereo and speakers weren't working so I decided to take a look inside and see what the problem was. Turns out half of the speakers aren't even wired up nor are they done correctly. Basically my question is, how would I wire up the door speakers? I'm very confused by this setup. I'll attach some pictures so you can see for yourself. The speakers do work as I have tested them out of the car, but I just don't see how this setup could. Please help! Thanks! [IMG]

Are there no speaker wires coming through the doors? Like are there no speaker wires just hanging behind the speaker? If not then you'll probably have to run new wires. This isn't hard for the front and not too bad for the back. If you've never done it before it could be tricky.
Edit: I'm dumb I posted before looking at your pictures. So if you splice the wires that are in the picture to the speakers they don't turn on? You may have to pull the stereo and see what's going on behind there. Oh and welcome!!

If it's any kind of aftermarket head unit (the thing in the dash), then you'll definitely want to pull it.
Mine came with a janky-o-matic ghetto head unit, and the kind fellow who owned it before me decided it was smart to lop-off all of the factory GM wiring harness, and push his wires directly into the back of the head unit to get the 2 functioning speakers powered up in the car without having to get an adapter for the cheap chinese radio.
With mine, I forwent using coaxial drivers, and just ran new wires for component speakers throughout. So I'm not using any factory wiring. I would recommend this, if you've got the time and money, because it'll future proof you, and old wiring can cause problems later on if it's in bad enough shape.

In the photo, the light green and purple wires go to the high frequency (4 ohm tweeter) speaker in the right door. In the left door the tweeter wires are black and yellow. The other wires in each door are for the mid range speakers (2 ohms).
