Default need help for 93 z28

I have a 93 z28 and i am have problems figuring out why i cant run the 1/4 mile any faster than 15.3, but every other camaro i see run at the track will run 13 and faster. I have cam work, 4.10 rear end, 3500 stall converter, also have slicks. anyone have any sugestions on making it run or what to look at that might be holding it back, but when i am on the street it seems like it has alot of power behind it.
any help will be helpful
thanks

have you had it scanned to see if theres any trouble codes stored? you could pick up a aldl cable from moats and download datamaster, make sure you have the right memory and all on your computer. then you could see whats happening in the system. what rpms are you hitting at the finish?

With cars like this there is alot that goes into making good times. You cant just change stuff and have everything else work well. New cam means time with a computer tuning your engine, new injectors... computer... new gears... yup back to the computer. Your new gear ratio may be throwing the shift points of your tranny off. You have a 4L60 or better known as the THM700R4, this tranny is completely mechanical with its shift points so changing the rear gears can effect the governor which lets the tranny know how fast the driveline is spinning. You need to take the whole car into account when you are talking about a new vehicle and racing.

You cheapest easiest fix is to take it to a shop the dyno tune fuel injected car. It will cost between $250-$400. My guess would be something is wrong its not just the mismatch of parts you have. With out the proper tune the part your added should not hurt you times.

Just a wild guess but either a pluged Cat or a streched timing chain. The tuning shop should be able to figure any of those issue out pretty quickly.
