need help

Default need help

i was looking to buy this car but i was wondering what you guys thought the problem could be. also the car has a crack in the hood and the drivers window motor is broke. he is asking 2500 do you guys think this is a good deal?

1994 Z28 Camaro, has the LT1 with a 6 speed. 145,xxx, my daily driver. Has the 2000 SS body style and corvette C5 wheels. Tires are pretty worn. have a set of winter tires to go with it. Short in the gauges at some point so a couple dont work, temp and the RMP. I replaced the water pump and spark plugs a couple months ago. have the wires but havent done them yet. Ran great until I used Flying J gas, now a little rough with a slight backfire, could just be the wires too tho

it could be tough to work on trying to figure out if a 98-02 part is needed or a 93-94 part. only the builder knows for sure. if the 98-02 gages were used im not surprised theres an issue with the gages. some would call it a frankencar, i would say it depends on what was changed. if just the front and hood then thats not so much an issue. as its desribed with info provided i would say its not worth the asking price.

Too many issues. If you can grab it for $1500. then get it.

im going to call the guy and ask him if it was just the front clip and hood changed

Just for a reference point, the car in my sig I bought for $2600. Its got the same miles as the one youre looking at, but the rest is untouched down to the CD player.... In addition, lots of new parts w/ receipts... Opti, water pump, radiator and many other recent repairs including every fluid in the car being changed. Im not bragging, but giving you a starting point. My car has its little issues... like gauges, which Im fixing one by one... A/C needs a compressor and some other stuff.... BUT, we think you can do better and my 93 Z28 is a good example.

i know i can get the car for 2000 but it would be my first car and i dont want my dada getting into a car that he has to fix but he seems to think its a good deal
