need air pump help ASAP- working on it now!
Hey guys. I'm changing out my air pump. The new one is a Delco. The old one has a connector with a plug going into both ends....the new one has the same connector, but only one plug can plug in. The wires on the other end are made a little different then on the old pump, and are actually made into the pump. Has anyone changed theirs out and run into this? I'm wondering do I just plug the one connector in, and perhaps new pumps are wired a little different. Any help would be appreciated!

Boy, it's a good thing I wasn't laying here dying...lol. I ended up taking a chance and hooking it up with just the one connector, the one actually made onto the air pump. I had to disconnect and remove the other connector and wire, it ran to some kind of an air valve. But it seems to work. It had the check engine light on before, but now the pump works, no check engine light, and no pending codes. My scanner has a green light, which means it's good to go. So it must just be a design change in the air pump. Maybe this will help the next person that changes theirs and realizes the new pump doesn't have the same connectors as the old. Just plug into the new and disconnect the one that's not used, you'll see which one it is.
