Need advice
Hello. Im new to the forum and hoping i can get some answers on this debate. i have a 3.1l out of a 92 camaro and my Daily Driver is a 94 3.4l camaro.
What i want to know is if the 3.1l intake plenum would fit on my 3.4l. I know the intake on the 3.4l has alot of restriction of air and the 3.1l has alot more air flow. Let me know if you know anything, and what are the exchangable parts from the 3.1l can fit on my 3.4l. i know they are alot in common and id like to put some parts on my 3.4l that are off of the 3.1l because it has many new parts on it.
Thanks, Spencer:

The Camaro 3.4 intake is designed with the 4th gen hood in mind. Note the sharp turn right at the throttle body and the low profile of the entire intake.
Why do you think the 3.1 has better flow then the 3.4 intake? I could find no info on the flow rates of either. You are talking about the 3.1 out of a Camaro, Not the 3.1 out of a FWD that would have you Throttle body on the wrong end of the engine?
What makes you think the intake on the 3.4 is a choke point on this engine? In most of the articles I have read about the limitation on air flow for the RWD 3.4’s was due to the heads not the intake. Making the intake flow better when the heads are the issue is kind of a waste of effort. In fact a higher flowing intake could slow the air charge down, it could drop power on the motor.

Thanks for the reply. The 3.1 im using parts off of was out of a 92 camaro rs. Iv heard people talking and saying the 3.4l intake chokes up the engine of 20% of its air flow. i didnt think the 3.1l intake would work i just wanted to make sure. i cant find the bottom of the plenum for it anyways. but do you know what other parts would fit off of the 3.1? thanks for replying.
I have another question too. Ive changed Plugs, wires, coil packs, oil change, and put the amsoil powerfoam through it and it has this stutter when i take off or changing gears under pressure. if i give it fast gas it stutters and doesnt want to go. if i feather it down to the floor its fine but i cant just take off like id like to.
Thanks
