My new Z28
Hey guys,
Some of you may have seen my post a week ago asking if I should buy a camaro I was talking about, well.. I brought her home today.
Picked it up for $2400 Canadian, has 144,xxx kms, no rust as it was oiled every year and never winter driven. Pretty much bone stock, power locks, windows, everything. Likes to make a fuss sometimes when you start it but after that it runs great, getting an exhaust and a safety done tomorrow, and a full tune up this weekend. Ive never uploaded pics to the forum before so hopefully I did it right, and please excuse my blackberrys lack of pixels.
Let me know what you think!

please tell us you or your folks aren't paying someone to do
full exhaust
full tune up
to pay someone to change all 8 plugs is around $300-$400
there isn't much left to a "tune up" these days unless you include
all fluid changes/flush: brake, steering, diff, tran, oil, coolant
fuel filter, belt and questionable hoses and cold air intake's filter (plz tell me it doesn't have the stock air box)
I will reserve my comments about salad shooters because you are a new owner
welcome to the forum
aw heck no I wont: friends don't let friends roll on salad shooters
as a side note, it looks pretty darn good for a northern car

I agree with you about the wheels they really aren't much to look at, as for the tune up, I plan on doing all that myself. Going to do plugs, wires, filters and fluids, and I had to replace the muffler for it to pass safety, it had a hole the size of a golfball so I told him just to throw a magnaflow or something a bit throaty on it for now, in the future I hope to do a full exhaust. Any tips for passing an etest other than a tune up? I think I'm going to put synthetic in it for the test, premium gas as well?

Dont know what type of testing is done for inspections there. Here in the states it varies widely from state to state and county to county. Where I live, cars made before 96 dont require emissions testing. They do a visual so you cant take anything off. Cars after 96, as long as the check engine light is not on, it will pass. So, to answer your quastion about tips for passing an etest, it all depends on what type of testing they are going to do.
