Default My new fuel pump

Okay so my car **** out on me last sunday. I knew the fuel pump was bad so sure enough after testing thats what it was. I used the hatch method* and i must say, after initial testing today my car is running so much better. Airtex fuel pump FTW

* I would personally go a little just a little bit wider on the left and right side incisions if u use this method.

Yeah i got it. so the red is a general cut. mine is ugly as can be but no ones gonna see it sooooo

Also Camaro69 you have my dream car. but im putting a 454 in mine hehehe

ok i was wondering if those mesurements were big enough. i know ive read of guys going bigger and use the indentations to mount to but none of the pictures i found showed that and the pic i used had measurments to use so a guy had an idea were he could cut and not hit any fuel lines. thanks for the comments.

On the left, the one that says one inch exactly, be careful beacuse that line is very close to the top. so if you use a die grinder or sawzall(like me ) just watch for it.

I have to put a notch in drivers side front so I could get to the connector. Other then that I am very close to the original dimension. When I cut the notch I left one side connected and just bent the sheet metal away. When I was done I bent it back and sealed it up.

need to at least screw a cover over it. dont want exhaust getting into the inside of the car.
