My first mod but not the first mod on the Maro
Alright so my 1999 V6 Camaro RS already has new headers, y-pipe exhaust and flowmasters (dont know which series ) Anybody got any ideas of what I can do to it next that is fairly simple to do and wouldnt cost that much. I plan on doing bigger mods when i get more experienced with my car. Also, how the hell do you change the spark plugs? Those things are so down there and are hard as hell to get to. And one more thing, I think I need to get my harmonic balancer or idler pulley replaced. Give me the symptoms to a bad harmonic balancer and/or idler pulley. Thanks guys

Cold Air Intake next. Spark plugs are challenging to get to & not sure on the HB as I have never had to replace one. Someone on here will definetely chime in I'm sure.
The CAI will not cost much & is a good mod to start with to go along w- what you already have. The SLP Air Lid/Intake is nice.

Get a K&N cold air intake. I've had mine for a week and I love it. It adds horsepower and give my v6 alot better acceleration and throttle response. They run for about $250. but there well worth it, and only takes about an hour to install

this is the slp cai (http://www.lmperformance.com/741/13.html) i bought one about a month ago and it increased throttle response and acceleration

have you looked into changing your rear gears for a richmond or motive gear set?
If you look on your drivers door there should be the codes list, it will say GU4, GU5 or GU6 there. This relates to the gear ratio you have. If you change to a larger number a bigger ration the therotical top speed will fall a bit but you acceleration will be much better as the car uses its torque more effectivly
you may need to get under the car to do the plugs, the correct socket with a short extension a ratchet and possibly a UJ joint on should be fine. Least you dont have to change the plugs on a V8 they are crazy and the passanger bank only has like 2" of room to get in
after this the performance mods move onto engine internals, cam etc
