My first Camaro - 2002 z28
Hi I am new and just bought a 2002 Z28 with 24,500 miles tonight! Blue, t-tops, 35th ann., M6, 1-owner, bought from the dealer where it was traded 2 weeks ago from local (verified carfax registration location).
It seemed too good to be true from the ad asking $12,900 but I drove the hour to see it tonight and it was even cleaner then I imagined. The interrior shows like a car less then 2 years old, the wheels are perfect, tires are like new, leather is perfect, weather stripping like new, and the engine as clean as one that left the lot 10 years ago.
I never drove one before so I have no comparison but the brakes are perfect, engine felt fine, nothing came up shifting. She drives straight and tight with the occaisional noises these cars are known for. The clutch seems fine but after the drive home it did make some noise inside the car, kind of spring like but it went away.
I was planning on offering $11,500 on the drive there if it was perfect but it seemed the dealer was asking $14,8 originally and there was no more room to wiggle. Add the fact that as soon as I saw it I knew it was the one so I grabbed it at their $12,9 asking price and added the dealers Toyota Gold 4 year 50k mile extended warranty for $1700. Being that I don't turn wrenches I thought this was a good idea even though it will be a weekend rider. 5.9% financing, put $2,000 down and drove off for $260 a month on a 5 year.
I spent about 3,000 more then I hoped with the warranty and hate it being such a quick desicion but I was afraid to leave for a day or two for it to disappear as we are in warm weather now 70s. I hope I don't regret it. I was originally looking at C4 vettes but this is a better fit anyway.
Pics to follow.
Any opinions?

I couldn't find a way to just upload pics here so I sent them to my live gallery: http://cid-cea3156111d367b9.skydrive...6111D367B9!600

I'm up sick with the flu and thinking what else may be not stock. I'm curious if the differential is custom because it was much louder then I expected in 5th and 6th on the ride home. Chuga-chuga like a train and totally quiet when you let off the gas. But again, I have nothing to compare too. My older muscle cars were all stock mustangs.
