Default My car has a date!

With the body shop! She goes in for paint the week after New Years. Body guy just called this aft with the opening.

Getting everything cleaned up and a few small holes filled.

Then she's getting a coat of "Lexus Starlight Mica Black"

It's a metallic black pearl.

This is what it looks like up close. If you look at it straight on, or in low light, it's just metallic black.

I can't wait! With the new paint and the freshly painted wheels, she's gonna look GREAT!

Yeah, gonna have to chop the top on this one a bit to get it looking like a Camaro again...

I feel like an 8 year old 2 weeks before Christmas! How many more days? LOL. Of course he will have it for a couple of weeks too, so it will probably be almost Groundhog Day before I see it in paint...

Right around $2k. It might be just over depending on how much extra that paint is compared to the GM 8555 he originally quoted me on.

Default Lateral door molding...stay or go?

I'm thinking of removing the door panel molding on the Z when it goes in for paint next week.

Opinions? Pics?

What do you guys think?

Do it, looks much better without imo. And if worse comes to worse and you don't like it, its a lot easier to paint a new molding off the car and stick on.
