Got the new A/C compressor, but have no idea how to change it. The one in the car still is full of refrigerant, so I guess I will have to take into a shop to have it changed.

Default ashtray cover repaired

My 96 ashtray cover was broken from someone leaning on it. It had a small plastic "hinge pin" broken off. I drilled a small hole where the pin was, the put a small screw through the hole to act as a new pin. It works great and probably won't be noticed unless someone is looking at it very closely.

Nice ride, by the way. I like the SS and the wheels the way they are.

A lot has happened with the SS this week. First, I went to the DMV got that mess taken care of, and also ordered a custom plate. The plate is the Marine Corps Veteran plate with MY01SS as the writing. Also went and had an estimate done to see how much its going to cost to get all the dents and dings out of it. Body shop quoted me less than 1500 to fix everything and slap a new coast of Onyx Black down. Now just gotta save up.

so nothing really has happened with the SS since my last post. I just added some HID's in the low beams, and improved my visibility 10 fold. The TV quit working, so i swapped it out with another cd player i had lying around. I am going to ship it back to Pioneer to have it refurbished (200 bucks!), then I'll put it back in. Decided to wait on the paint for now, car needs AC and tires more than anything. Plus my harley needs its 10K service and that ain't cheep.

Here is the link to doing the mod. The guy's last name is whistler, and he is the one who started it back in 2000, so its now called the whistler mod

^ Isn't that going to reduce the housing effectiveness, by loosing the reflecting ability?! I don't think I would.
