2847 was the total for the paint job. I really hope it looks good. I am taking it to Modern Image to have a clear protective vinyl on it.

they are also installing a couple other little mods I bought. I'm not going to spoil it though. Car is supposed to be done tomorrow. I have a couple things I want to do to it, then I'll get some pics up.

Nice. Is it just going to be all black? No other accent paint work?

for Now. I was looking at running matte black 02LE stripes down the car, but will hold off for now. I have to get my Harley back on the road and the Ranger needs some finishing up.

The stripes would look pretty cool though. I always liked that kind of paint scheme.

ya know, I have never even liked the whole "Blacked out/Murdered Out" theme. It can SO easily be turned into something where it looked like you couldnt afford a real paint job, so you just rattle canned it. Then on the other end of the spectrum you can make a car look AMAZING all blacked out. I guess if I dont like it, I can always change it back

Yeah I agree. I especially don't like black wheels, but that's just me. I like the gloss/matte kind of paint scheme because it adds that kind of surprise texture to it. It's not super obvious, but when done right, it looks really nice. Lol, it's funny how you mention the rattle cans too. I did that with my 1990 Blazer, but that's because it was a POS to begin with and 9 rattle cans of satin black dramatically improved its appearance.

Looks great:

edit:

The vette compared to a civic was WAY unfair. This is a better comparison.

Lmao, true. But look what you're starting with in the first one, haha. Paint can't always fix ugly. Hopefully your paint will look as nice and glossy as that vette's. I bet you're excited to get it back tomorrow (hopefully).

its killing me! I mean, dont get me wrong, I love my Ranger, but I dont like other people having my car.

Oh and if my paint DOESNT look like that vette's, they will keep buffing it until it does.
