Default Muffler

So I'm wanting to put a new muffler on my single outlet 00' 3.8. I mainly want the look of dual exhaust, anda soundthat will be distinctive when I get on the gas. I've been thinking about putting a Z28/SS muffler on, but have heard bad things. I've also looked into Flowmaster's 70 series muffler. Once I do get a new muffler though I would like to get it welded on. About how much would this cost, in addition tothe mandrel bent pipes. Anysuggestions?

not sure about the 6's but I have heard flowmasters don't flow to well on the 8's. Why don't you just spring for a decent cat back for the 6?? Might be a little more expensive, but it'll give you the full flow performance of the muffler.

You do make a point there. If I get the muffler I would probably regret not holding out to get the catback.

again.. i say go with edelbrock catback... good performance great sound for v6, the longest stainless steel tips ive seen on any catback period, and only $299 for the 3.8 if im not mistaken. you wont be dissappointed.

Dunno where you get your info but ive heard that Flows...flow... pretty good for the 8s... not as good as some of the more expensive big names but they are a pretty good muffler my dad has ONE on his V8 (5.6L) 4x4 lifted Nissan Titan and it sounds ALMOST as mean as my car which has no cat and 3inch exhuast and his truck is NISSAN! not a big baddomestictruck... it doesnt really hold a flame to mine but it still sounds good from a dig... i believe its ofthe American Thunder series.
