GM's new generation F-Body Camaros and Firebirds are fast — but they can go even faster! Moroso's High Flow Air Induction System increases air flow by 47%, adds 16-20 more horsepower and reduces quarter-mile ET's by a full two tenths.

I agree with Foster. I don't think any cold air kit adds that much power.

Maybe 5-10 hp more; that's a generous estimate.

GM High Tech Performance tested the K&N cold air kit and it added 9 RWHP to a '99 Camaro SS. K&N claimed that it added 14 RWHP.

the ss has a better stock air intake than the lt1. alot of it depends on if you have a new stock filter or a used one thats partially plugged. the moroso/k&n style do not plug up as easy so high flow is more consistant over time. you take out a stock filter thats not flowing and replace with a new/clean moroso you may very well see and increase of 20 to 30 hp. maybe more. lol. i noticed the difference right away over stock used. lol.

i never buy a cai thinking i will gain alot of hp just thinking that it will help all the other mods i do
also is it mounted in the engine bay? this can make a cai ineffective as it will still draw hot air

I just quoted that from thier website, I kinow its gotta be a bunch of bs though... I'd say a that you would gain 5-10 hp if that,l more like 2-4 ponies freed up.
