Default moaning noise on a cold start

what could it be? on other cars i`ve ran, the power steering pump would whine, but this is something loud its hard to describe, but once the temps reach about 105+ , it goes away

Check the idler pulley. Sometimes they will make a noise when it is cold. Might be your water pump as well. You can remove the belt and see if the sound still happens to help determine if it is the motor or something being driven by the belt.

how cold is it where you live? When I lived in New England, and we had the sub zero temps, or even 10 degrees, my cars would make the strangest sounds when first started. I did not have a garage.

I'll bet if you slept outside in the cold, you'd be moaning something awful in the morning too.
The alternator can also be a freezing cold start-up noise maker.

yeah diodes in the alternator like to sing when cold, or when they go bad.. also when the A/C pressures differentiate in the cold morning they can make a whining noise... my honda sings like a female dog (b word) in the cold morning... its so loud i can hear it from inside my apartment... only on the first cold start of the day, though. when i start driving it goes away

I would lean towards the belt tensioner if it cannot tighten up causing the cold belt to slip. If that checks out and it still whines, then check your PS fluid when cold and then when its warm, note the level and also if it is dark and full of contaminates. Then check for any leaks on the rack and pinion. The cold causes the seals to shrink and leak and not hold pressure and the pump will whine. You will also notice resistance in the steering wheel. Also check your anti-freeze ratio, it may not be enough to keep the water pump lubicated when cold causing it to make a racket.
