I have a 97 camaro 3.8L and get code p0300 due to missfires on cylinders 2 and 5. I know its not the coil or ignition control module. It runs good and the code doesnt pop up till it hits 3800 rpm n up, it doesnt feel like its missfiring. Anyone have an idea of what it could be?

They are new msd coils and i switched them around to see if the missfire moved to different cylinder but it didnt. I also changed the ignition control module and no change. I beleive it could be that its the spark plugs or wires that just happen to be under the same coil. Im planing on changing those out anyways.

P0300 is a random misfire code, so how is it telling you that 2 and 5 are misfiring? Random misfire is usually the result of a lean fuel mixture; make sure the fuel pressure is holding when the engine is under load at high RPM when it needs the most fuel.

PO300 is a random/multiple cylinder misfire code. Do you mean you're getting a PO302 and 305? Plug wires and plugs would be the next logical thing to change. For fun, you could swap wires around and see if the code moves with them.
