Default Mini tub

Does anyone have their car mini tubbed?

I am going to install the wolfe racecraft mini tub kit next week and wanted to know what the guys who run the 315-60-15 drag radials run for rear end widths and rim backspacing.

I will be ordering the strange s60 next month and already have 15x8 with 3" back spacing and I am running a 275-60-15 tire now.

I was thinking of running a 15x10 rim and a 315-60-15 drag radial. I need to know what back spacing and how much the rear end is narrowed each side. I hear a lot of guys run 15x10 with 5" back spacing and narrow the rear end 3" per side. But I want to make sure before I spend 2k on a rear end.

Please share some info with me if you have any.

Hi mate, planning on minni tubbing my 98, my diff is out already. I will just be bringing my arches to the chassis rail. From what i can measure , it seems that the width gain is only about 1 to 1.5 inches a side. Is that what u figure?

I run a 28x 12 s on mine 10 inch rim. My offset is alot like factory really, it is custom on welds, but my diff is still standard width, so i think i plan to shorten it 2 inches either side, and relocate all the suspension which is what is required to fit wheels that big. Shockers, springs, lower controll arms all need to be moved, especially if you want to shorten it by 3 inches.

Love to discuss it with you further, I can help out with measurements and pics if it helps, but as my car is a little way off i would love you to basically document, with photos and measurements on your tub job.

Seems like we both are after the same thing. Also the panhard bar, ans stabiliser also need to be moved in.

Thanks mate cheers ben.

I have the Wolfe Racecraft kit as well. My FAB9 is narrowed 3" a side and the backspacing on my 15x10 welds is 4.5" You will have plenty of room for those tires.

We haven't started it yet...I'm waiting to see how the car does at the track with the 28" tires.
