manual to auto steering column

Default manual to auto steering column
I have a 94 camaro automatic transmission. I ordered a steering wheel column online and received manual transmission steering column. My question is if I can still use the manual steering column and just swap out the ignition lock cylinder for my automatic?

im not finding any difference between the two. stuff that bolts onto it is.
