so..... winter is comming and im about to put my baby away in storage. 
seeing that i never got around to replacing the water pump and opti this year im planning on doing it all this winter by myself and one of my friends. we both really havent done much work on cars before but im hoping we can handle it. id get it professionally done but im pretty broke lol. i was told that if im guna go all the way to the opti i might as well change the cam. my friend and i were both planning on switching to a lt4 hot cam (the whole kit from summit). seeingive got a pretty low budget i was just wondering if the cam kit will be worth it? wut r the pros and cons? thanx

The cam itself will get you some more HP, but not as much if you don't get the whole kit. The advertised lift is done with the 1.6 rockers. You'll need to get different valve springs anyway so you don't float a valve and screw over your whole motor. You'll be able to get more power for you money with an aftermarked grind cam from comp-cams or something like that.
