I like the LT1 Camaros body style. But the LS1 is just a more efficient motor imho.

well like someone said earlier. how fast can you afford to go? a reliable solid LS1 camaro is going to cost more than an LT1 in the same shape.

lt1's have a better sound imho. i love my lt1, but won't talk bad about the ls1 cause its a great motor. in my eyes though, the lt1 is king

I like both engines, each has its good and bad points. The Ls1 makes more power out of the box, but just about any engine can be modifed to make as much power as you need as long as money is no object.
Pete said it best. And as said both engines have there pro's and con's. I would personally say if you are talking about a production engine the LS1 is better. But in the same aspect if you compare a LS1 to a LS3 then the LS3 is better. For its time the LT1 was a great engine and still is. It has proven the test of time and is a tank as far as durability goes. My personal choice would be the LS1 but that is not to say that i don't love the sound of a hooked up LT1 rolling into the parking lot .

well i could prob get an lt1 sooner than i can get an ls1 (saving money, and in the process of getting rid of old parts). i really want the ls1, but yea its more expensive and its harder to find. i think im gona hold out for the ls1...

If you buy the LT1 you wont want to save money believe me. You will want to build the **** out of it kuz its fun and worth it.

It has nothing to do with actual efficiency (yes, I'm going to nit-pick your word choice...), like I've said many times before: The LSX series make more power out of the box and per mod because they have a much better designed head than a traditional SBC.

I personally love my LT1, I wouldn't trade it for an LS1 Camaro because I don't like how they look nearly as much. If you really want an LS1 car save up and go for the one you really want, don't short yourself or you'll always regret it. Unless you need a car save your money (and if you actually need a car buy a beater FWD 4-banger so you can save on gas).
