LT1, or LS1 fbody?
hi guys..well my family and i are moving to a new house witch means i can get a fbody..right now i have a 91 cavalier z24 as a DD..i want i 4th gen fbody..which would be better for a first time preformance car owner?
LT1/M6 fbody (camaro or TA) or LS1/M6 (camaro or TA)
what are the pros and cond to both..i want a LS1 but idk how much longer it will be before the value starts to come down with the 5th gen out, and i like the motor building options i can get with the LSX..but the LT1 is cheaper (at leaste around here)..
what do you guys think i should get..wait a couple years and get a LS1, or just get a LT1, have fun with it then sell for a LS1 or LSX swap?
BTW and id want to DD it once the cavalier dies till i can afford a new DD..

Go ls1, i have far less little mechanical issues than my lt friends and i can stomp on them =] lts are a stornger block for huge power or spray, but moderate power or even up to like 600 the ls1 will run it better, aluminium is the way to go

lol thats the same thing my dad toldme..honestly i like the LT1 to cuz there strong, but i like the LS1 cuz you got LS2,3,6,and 7 parts you can put in them..so you dont have to buy new parts..as for the lt1 you pretty much just have the LT4 to pick parts from..and they dont raise that much power..

yeah..well if im lucky i can get a show at my uncles A4 LS1..then to M6, 12 bolt swap since the rear ends going out and the trans has 150,XXX miles on it..but its been babied (never been above 80mph and 4500rpm since new)
do fbodys make decent road race cars with the low center of gravity and width? im more of a corner carving fan
