Go to the V6 forum and read the thread about doing the V6 to V8 swap. You are pretty much going to have to swap everything over and I do mean everything but the body, carpet, seats and headliner. If you think I am joking about what has to go I am not. Even the door panels are different from the first dash to the updated dash,

Well if you got the entire car for a doner then go for it. I hope the nose of the doner car is not damaged because the LS1 does not fit under the hood of the early nosed cars.

it may just be me but 3500 bucks seems like alot for a car that has frame damage. i mean yeah it will probibly add up for the parts but that just seems like way to much for my taste.

Please keep us posted. The 97 Lt1 to 98 LS1 is a pretty easy swap. The 93 is a bit of a bastard in that it is a completely different computer system so everything eletrical will need swaped I mean everything. Down to the wiring harnesses in the doors cause of the BCM.

I've decided to spend 6500 bucks and get 2 ls1 z28 camaros.. 1 Is wrecked and 1 needs trans rebuilt..Decided I would come out cheaper; I also went and bought a LS1 today for 350 bucks..needs rebuilt.. Has 856 heads or something like that. I bought it off my buddy.

Smart move, Fixing is always cheaper then converting and when you done you have something worth something. Converted cars never sell for much many times they end up being parted out.
