yeah and my uncle dosent have $3700 for the 400hp kit...he could pay the 350hp kit and just buy the parts sepretly (cant spell)cheaper

I agree. SLP is a great name but thats what you are paying for.

 

350hp kit? your car has 350hp from the factory lol..... that brings into question the vailidity of their 325hp pack lol

 

Im 16 too. my dad just handed me the titleto our 02 SS in my name for my birthday.
im lookingto make it faster but not sure how. but about the exhaust i think i have SLP but im not sure. it sounds powerful but isnt too loud like you said i dont have to yell to talk to someone outside the car.

 

isnt it more like 340 from the factory and its just a whole bunch of stuff like cold air inducton wide mouth box and the loudmouth exhaust

 

its the same exact motor that they put into the corvettes. typical dyno's are right around 300rwhp stock so whatever that comes out to. 350 isnt a bad average.

 

The LS1 is rated at 335 horses in the F-body's however many dyno test have proven the engine produces more like 350 at the crank and as spec said most will spin 300 to the wheels bone stock. I think GM high Tech just did a article on a bone stock LS1. It spun 301HP and 315 torque to the dyno. After SLP headers, SLP Y-pipe, and SLP exhaust the car spun out 335HP and 340 torque. Thats a good gain of 33HP and 24 torque. Not bad at all since it was done with no tuning and a bone stock air filter and stock lid. Very good gains however i think you would have found nearly the same gains with other companies products that are half the price. Not bashing on SLP at all they make good quality products for for an average guy in search of the best bang for the buck they are not the best way to go.

And WTF is up with all the young guys getting all the nice cars. . Dont get me wrong i am not bashing on you guys but i want you to remeber how lucky you guys are. Take care of them now so you will have them for latter and you will not be sorry .

 

Yea I have turned down races so many times for the sake of my car :P I just love it to much to do anything that may harm it. Yea Ive herd really great things about slp so I think I'm going to stick with their stuff for the time being.

 

yea. mines has never seen rain or snow in the winter its in aheated garage. i treat it like a baby. but dont get me wrong that dosent keep me from roasting the tires on a wide open road. it fun and i like to go fast
