Ok, here is the deal. I originally wanted a 1998 LS1, but I want to turbo charge the engine as well as add better fuel management and exhaust. I can get a mid 90's Z28 with 80,000 miles for $6000. I was wondering if it is worth spending the more money to get an LS1? I can turbo charge either one, but is the LS1 better to do it on, or would the LT1 be fine? Thanks in advance for your help!

 

Also, I know this probably belongs in a different section, but what would be a better bang for the buck, a turbocharger or supercharger?

 

Deffinitly go with the LS1, And turbo it.

 

that is what i was thinking, but i can buy a low mileage LT1 and turbo it for the price of a decent LS1. I guess it really depends on how much I can sell my car for that I have now.

 

i would go with the ls1, it doesnt have as many upgrades as the lt1 but you wont have to worry about replacing the opti-spark when the water pump leaks

 

id go with the ls1 for sure... im more of a fan of the superchargers rather than turbochargers... it just depends on if you dont mind robbing the engine of some power or if you dont mind the delay...
