ls1 or lt1

RE: ls1 or lt1
how do u figure? people have stroked an lsx out to 427 and run 9s NA. Its just that people more often (however im betting that will be changing) stroke the lt1. but to be fair, the average lt1 stroker ~ HC ls1. ive seen guys with 383 mild head/cam lt1's make good numbers, but not numbers unreachable by stock cube ls1

RE: ls1 or lt1
To keep everything fair there's a stock block, 350 CI LT1 that's in the 10's...
Nonetheless, a stroked out LS1 is still going to be better than a stroked LT1. The LS1 is just a better engine design that allows for better numbers overall due to a better designed head that allows for better flow, larger volumes and higher lift, it's a plain and simple fact. Now, let the argument die...because there is no agrument

RE: ls1 or lt1
the point i was making is that if a motor performs better than another at displacement A, the figures wont swap at displacement B. they will only be >/= what they were before. and as we have said several times, its because of the head design. if the ls1 is better, at ~ 350cid, at getting air in and out of it than the lt1, why would someone say that @ 383cid, the lt1 is suddenly better? thats crazytalk, and it completely ignores the fundamentals of how a motor functions

You guys missed the 'for obvious reasons, sono onesay anything.' portion! [&:]
I was just throwing out sarcasm, just like in that thread which addressed another forum with a member saying an lt1 is only a half secondslower than an ls1. lol. Who else remembers that guy? [8D]

RE: ls1 or lt1
probably double post, sorry.
The ls1 is much better. The best stock time for an ls1 is a 12.8, and generally they range from 13.0-13.4 (ls1 guys will be able to confirm/correct this.) A stock lt1 will run at mid/low 14's, from what I've witnessed. I want to get mine to a track though, to test it. lol.
