Default ls1 knock?

just bought this camaro 2000, and wondering if this engine sounds normal? it has 105k on it.

my first oil change i noticed really fine grey colored metal flake on my oil plug magnet enough to cover my pinky finger nail completely, so i flushed the system with cheap shell oil now all the flake gone, and now im using 10w40 valvoline HM + lucas additive.

Sounds like piston slap to me; does the noise go away once the engine is up to temp? Piston slap is really common on these cars and is generally nothing to really worry about. Because the piston is aluminum, it expands when it gets hot, when the car is cold the piston is literally slapping the sides of the cylinder until it expands from heat.
