Really? those numbers seem a little low.. I heard closer to what evilkal said.

I could be totally off but didn't the corvettes have the LS6 intake manifold? Or something like that.. I'm sure I was looking at some and it said this came stock on corvettes over their camaro counterparts.. I could be off on the name though

Yeah as mentioned.... ALL LS1's do dyno around the same....290-310 at the wheels which is about 340-350 at the crank. LT1's dyno about 30 or so less at the wheels.

GM rates the LS1 engine at 350hp and I think 360tq if I remember, thats if you buy it now from them. and the difference between the Vettes power and the Fbodies is minimal. The crank power before they got actually put in to one vehicle or the other ... is the same as I listed above.

All 2002 Fbodies are 35th anniversary. But there were 2 special 35th anniversary Limited Editions... Camaro had 1 it was in SS trim only and Firebirds had 1 LE WS6 model.

The difference between the Special Editions and other V8's of the same year are really only cosmetic and minor suspension upgrades and limited number rare-ness. Aside from that they dyno the same. SLP inflated the hp number on paper to simply justify the increase in price of the car.

LT1s only dyno 30 less? I've seen some LT1s dyno as low as 225hp =\ The highest roughly 250. You sure you're not thinking of the LT4 or something? Guess I just don't see a lot of cars in good mechanical condition around here lol.

The LS6 manifold indeed came on the Vettes but was also put on the Camaro's in 2000 with a milder cam (I think).

An LS1 is an LS1. From 1998 to 2000, they were rated at 345 SAE Net HP. From 2001-2002 they were rated at 350 SAE Net HP.

Besides packaging & accessory placement differences, there is no difference between an LS1 in a Corvette or the one in your Camaro. There is no difference between the power output of the Z28 or the SS - it's all on paper.

Meaning:

1998-2000 Camaro Z28 and SS: (345hp)
2001-2002 Camaro Z28 and SS: (350hp)

The 305,310,315 hp ratings were all on paper and really had no meaning. This has been documented in SEVERAL places and dyno tests prove that the output of the Corvette and Camaro to be the same.
