Default Lower A-Arms nightmare

Ok so Spohn Performance had a big sale this past weekend. I decided to get the tubular lower A-arms because all my bushings and ball joints were shot..so for a little bit more I could upgrade.

Now, this is not a thread about the Spohn A-arms..because once I got the factory stuff out, they were a breeze to install and looked amazing.

This thread is about how I struggled for hours to get the factory stuff out. I dont think I'm alone here when I say that the rear bolt, the vertical one was frozen inside the sleeve to the point where hammering and jacking and impacting and hammering some more could not free the bastard.

I even thought I would be slick and got a second jack out and jacked on the bolt itself, with the weight of the whole car..and still nothing..

For anyone thinking about removing the factory A-arms on your Camaro..in all seriousness...invest in some really really tough sawzall blades. Thats the only way I got it out was to cut them out...and there is no room for a cutting wheel.
