My new y pipe has cats because I have to have them where I live.

 

Going catless wouldn't be an option for the OP if he wants his car to pass emissions.

 

I want to keep stock manifold and cats and y, and loud mouth after that. I dont want to get into tuning out O2 sensors and so on, basically looking to change the sound and loudness of the exhaust.

 

I have been reading that doing the mod like this is not too loud sounding

 

No way to adjust the volume level down so I hope you like your ears ringing constantly -- DRONE...

 

yeah im not a fan of droning but has anyone heard stock manifolds -cats-y-loudmouth setup in person? or are we going on he said she said? I dont mean to be rude if it sounds that way.

 

I've heard a few and its just loud. Never rode in a car with just at a few shows I've been to. There was no signature sound like a flow master or gmmg has just noise. I love my gmmg gives it that old school sound of a 69 z28 with chambered exhaust or a side pipe vette
