Default looking at headers

ok now that i got a decent paying job i want to finish off my exhaust with headers but have no idea what to get im almost positive i want pacesetters but thats all i know whats the diff between shorty mids and long tube headers also my whole exhaust is 3 inch do they make headers with a 3 inch end also whats the purpose of the Ypipe and if theres anything else i should know please let me know i dont want to get a set that wont work on my car

Don't know if there are 3.4 headers. Might want to ask over on a place like fullthrottlev6.com.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Flowmaster is 2.5 in -- unless you have a system not made for your car:

A full 3 in. exhaust on a 3.4L is likely to hurt your low-end torque. I think there's probably just one other 3.4L header option from Pacesetter...

well i bought the car with the 3 inch exhaust and its deff 3 inch but if i have to put a smaller header on there i will anythings gotta be better than the stock manifolds

i was looking at these but they seem a little pricy to me
