All that I mentioned is completly driveable on the street. He drives the car on a daily basis to work.

you would be surprised what you can get away witho n the street. more difficult doesnt necessarily mean difficult. by the same logic, its hotter in alaska than in antarctica, but its not hot in either

It made sense to me Spec!

The only problem I see with just doing a 383 kit is there's no way the stock heads have large enough volume on the intake and exhaust side to successfully accomodate a 383. The stock TB is also going to start bottle necking with a 383 kit. Spartan has it set straight, you need a good set of heads matched to a cam and you can make pretty good power.

something else you might want to look at is the rear end. the rears in our cars are known for not being very strong, especially if you put drag radials on it.

Yeah, i hear alot about the whole ford 9in conversion.. but thats spendy i hear... what would be the best bang for the buck while not breaking the bank since im working with a slightly restrictive budget?

check out eportworks.com lloyd can set you up iwth ported heads and a cam to match to make better power then the lt4 kit off jegs or summit!
