RE: Lookin into the whole LT4 thing
Not to dis, but are you actually doing anything Spartan or are you just "window shopping"?
Every time I search for anything on this thread I find you and another project you're working on. You must have 7 motors in your garage and 3 other F-bodies laying around
Let me guess...next week you will be putting an LS in your ride! Lol

RE: Lookin into the whole LT4 thing
first off, what hp range are you looking for? For 2500 bucks, that is not worth it, especially for only getting just over 300 rwhp, when you could just throw in a gm847 cam and get the same power by only changing the cam and springs. Go here http://www.eportworks.com/lt1.htmland look at what is offered. Also, if you want a TON if info on this, go to here and do some searching around http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/the guys here know their stuff and you can find the answer to just about any question you have regarding your car.

RE: Lookin into the whole LT4 thing
sweet thanks. What i plan on doing is buying a 350 block cleaning it up, buy and install aftermarket parts (pistons, head assemblies, crank, cam etc.) it will take a fair bit of time and a great bit of money but it will keep me busy over the summer and possibly into next year lol because swapping my engine is currently my biggest obstacle to over come.. however my new job at ford might offer me the tools and equipment to do the swap permited the techs let me use a lift and all that jazz.

RE: Lookin into the whole LT4 thing
^^^^ i guess what hes saying is the lt4 swap is the equivelent of the ls6 swap, there is a cam, intake, and heads involved for a whopping 40-50hp gain [&:] better off getting a good set of aftermarket ported heads and a nice big cam

spartan...lloyd elliot at eportworks.com KNOWS what he's doing. the guys on ls1tech.com and camaroz28.com swear by that guy. go to one of those sites and read up on the lt1 sections and you'll learn so much. but with that many miles on it you're not going to want to get too wild without a rebuild so you better be getting a lot back for taxes, HAHA!

If you want to direcly swap one in you have to find an LT1 block.
