Default Limitations

Been thinking hard about that V8 car. Z28s with a 6 speed are rare, but still not expensive with lots of miles. Turning it into a track day/weekend car is in sight, but does the 4th gen have handling/traction limitations that a ,C3 C4 or 5 Corvette does not?

The limitation of a solid axle. I have know guys that have run both the Vet and the Fbody at the amateur parking lot racing level. You can make the 4th gen handle but the car will be uncomfortable in normal driving. Basically you make it stiff as hell and that will almost keep up with a stock Vett. Remember from day one on vet design every part that could effect weight or handling is reviewed for optimization.

My base '94 came with the F41 handling package, why, I don't know, but I gotta say it rides rough. Corners well, but really stiff suspension. I'd prefer a cushier ride.

Does this mean I can keep up with Corvettes in an autocross??? LOL.

you could pick up some softer sway bars and ajustable shocks. my rear sway bar is ajustable as well.
