i am really fond of the corvette wheels on camaro, particuarly the c6 wheel but i have heard they are very heavy. so i was just wondering what the lightest corvette wheel is....is it the c5 z06 or can someone tell me ?

 

If you can find an actual set, the lightest Corvette wheel is going to be the Magnesium wheels.

 

if you're looking for lightweight, definitely go with the magnesium ones if you can find them. you'll shed even more weight when you have to cut off your arm to pay for them!

 

if youre after weight, why not get some weld drag lites ?

my dad wont let me put skinnies in the front anyway...and i like the look of the vette wheel

 

I have the C6 wheels on mine, I love them! I don't know how much more they weigh, but they dont seem to slow me down...lol

 

I never weighed these 17 inch vette wheels but they are much lighter than the 15 inch steel wheels on my daughter's Honda, and weigh less than the saw blade style vette wheels that were originally on the car.

 

how much lighter are the weld drag lights than the c6 or the c5 z06 wheels? and do they make them that i dont have to put skinnies in the front ?\

 

Why are you so worried about the weight of your wheels? Honestly, if you get any decent factory or aftermarket forged aluminum wheel you're not going to be able to tell the difference. You really only need to start worrying about wheel weight if you're trying to cut of that extra 0.02 on your 1/4 mile or track time.
