trying to figer out how to fix my lights on my consol of my 2000 v6 camaro all dash lights work but the lights on the consol in the shifter area don't nor do the lighter and power outlet checked all fuses and they are fine coant figure how to get shifter **** of to see into consol.

 

mine has a large staple looking thing that you pull out, its on the front side of the shifter, not sure if the 2000 **** is the same, seems like theres a screw or something like that on some. it does sound like you have a bad connection somewhere in there.

 

The 2000 has the same staple. I would pull the consol and make sure that everything is in good order in there. The shifter light is a #37 and it is a tiny little guy. Also if you dont route the wires right you can pinch them in the tranny linkage and cause a failure like that .
