Default led gauges on EARLY 4th gen

has anyone changed the bulbs to led on an early 4th gen?
i wanna know if its even possible without having to break stuff and going real crazy into it.
the only reason i ask is cuz its a pain to get the gauges out and i dont wanna take the dash off for no reason to just figure out it wont work.

Do you mean put LED's behind the gauges? If so how early are you talking? I just did it in my 94 Z28 and it was easy and looks awesome.

Yeah pretty much I wanna change the bulbs to blue led's.
I know that 96 and up all it is was basically 2 screws but 95 and earlier you need to take the front window pillars off then the dash and ect.
Did the leds plug in just fine?
How many of each did you need?

Ya I just did that to my 94. I did not take off the A pillars. I just took out the front dash and then the cluster housing. It is not really that difficult at all. Just be careful with the front dash pad because it is really thin and breaks easily. Here is what I got.

Qty | Product / Options | Price (each) |
================================================== ==============
7 | WLED-x5 LED Wide Angle LED bulb | $ 3.74 |
Blue WLED-B5 0.75
----------------------------------------------------------------
1 | NEOx High Power LED Instrument bulb | $ 2.29 |
Blue NEOx-BHP 3mm NEO3-xHP
----------------------------------------------------------------
3 | 74-x Wedge Base LED bulb | $ 1.19 |
Blue 74-B

Here are some pictures. The lights look really bright. They are actually slightly dimmer than that, but still really bright.

The turn signals are much more difficult to change. They are painted green on the inside so I just left them green. I LOVE the looks of my gauges now. It was relatively inexpensive, pretty easy, and they look great. I would recommend them. btw- I got them from superbrightleds.com
